About my culture.

Tena Koutou, Tena koutou, Tena koutou Katoa.
My name is Braxton and I am a New Zealand Maori.
Maori culture has been put out by the traditions of its cultural herritage , with an outward view of the challenges faced by indigenous peoples in a global society.
Moari's have been around in the land of Aotearoa for many of years.
We maori's have allsorts of foods we enjoy such as these,
Kai moana(sea food)
Boil up
Hangi
Ika(fish)

and there is many more I could name but nah.
Maori's have lots of waiata's(songs) I know and enjoy.

Cat and Mouse.

They meet again, cat and mouse.
Cat reaches for the mouse in an attempt to get rid of him but,
in a flash the mouse is gone.
It was as fast as a flash of lightning.

!!!

This is for challenge 5 activity 6

This is a post I enjoyed by a girl called Sam.

Dealing with anger.

This Week In skills for life we have been working on dealing with angry.
Three things i get angry about is:
1) People taking my stuff.
2) Getting in trouble when i did nothing.
3) People Annoying me.
When i feel angry i.
1) When i feel angry i take it out on other people and i yell, Punch something, Cry and Shake. Go for a run to clear my head.
Something that made me angry.
I was told that someone killed them self as a joke i was shocked i cried for ages and i felt like hitting something. If it happened again I would have Tried to calm myself down, Or talked to someone about it.
I liked this post because some of the stuff is what happens to me and I know how she feels.

This interesting one is from Jessica.

Where I live people consider it a place to go to when the school holidays are on. They think of it as a paradise, that’s the Summer tourists story but in the winter its a completely different story. There is not many shops to go to and the water at the beach is so cold you’ll end up being numb in exactly one minute.
In spring its quite pretty with its lovely sunshine, beautiful butterflies and getting to shop for the winters last outlets at the very few shops. The sky is blue and the temperature is just right with warm sunshine and a cool breeze. At this season it is normally still too cold to swim at the beach but you can still have a comforting morning walk on it.
Autumn has its slight ups and downs because of its cold temperatures and constant winds but it is still a good time for having a fish. If you came up to where I live in Autumb you would find bare trees and lovely green grasses covered with brown, red, yellow and green leaves.
All the seasons at my home are quite nice but Summer is my absolute favourite because of the beaches that I can go surfing at every single day. Have you guessed where I live yet? Well why don’t I tell you, it is at Port Stephans. Have you heard of it? Well if you have it would be the perfect place to go when you want to have a few days in paradise.

This is so cool because she loves the way she Lives.
This is very inspiring.

Introducing my commenter!

This is for Challenge 5 activity 7.

Hello my commenter is Mrs Robertson  from Otorohanga primary school.
Her comments help me because without her comments I wouldn't be the blogger that I am today. They encourage me to try new things.
Thank you Mrs Robertson.

How a blog can be improved!

This is for Challenge 4 activity 5

You can improve a blog by adding more interesting posts, making your page more colourful and adding images to your posts because the images make your post more eye-catching.
You could post more often as I do.
Comment on other peoples blog so that they get back to you and you get more comments.

This is how I think a blog could be improved.

Labour weekend!

Labour weekend hasn't been all that great.
We went to Auckland to pick up Paris's new phone, but first we stopped in at my Koro's house to say our hellos and goodbyes before he left to Whakatane.
We seen like gizzillions of people going to the armageddon while we were travelling to our Nan's house
We stayed up in Auckland for one day.
We should have just got Nan to send  the phone down , but we had to go pick up the mower from Koro's.

I hate travelling to Auckland especially if it's just for one day as it  takes forever to get there and back.

Today is Monday and I was expecting to go to school but it is long weekend *big sigh*.
On the brighter side there is still school tomorrow and next week and the week after that (ect).

Did you know.....

1. Your heart beats 101,000 times a day. During your lifetime it will beat about 3 billion times and pump about 800 million pints (378 million litres) of blood. A normal heart beats 70 to 80 times a minute. Over 70 to 80 years, it gives a few billion beats.
It is the powerful machine inside you.

2. Seven is a magic number because mainly everything is used with the number seven such as....
seven days of the week, seven seas, seven primary colors, seven wonders of the world, seven notes of the musical scale, the seven ages of man, seven deadly sins, seven levels of hell, seven categories for absolute judgment, the seven objects in the span of attention. Think 7-Up, Seven Dwarfs, The Magnificent Seven, seven-a-side. The sum of the opposite numbers in a pair of dice. Ask anyone to give you any number between one and ten and most will choose seven.

3. Copper is man's oldest metal, dating back more than 10,000 years. A copper pendant discovered in what is now northern Iraq goes back to about 8700 B.C.

What is important to Otorohanga.

Otorohanga is important because it is the KIWIANA capital of the whole entire WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is also important because of the Kiwi house as I have already mentioned.

This is a cool famous symbol of KIWIANA  !!!!!!!!!!

Week 3 activity 8.

If you visited my town...

Week 3 activity 2
If you visit my town you should visit the Kiwi house.
It is  full of all sorts of native birds to New Zealand that are sort of endangered, such as the kiwi wich  is a symbol of New Zealand. This is what makes kiwi's.
 (This is a kiwi here)

My weekends!

On Friday is when the fun actually started. I got a visit from an old friend that I hadn't seen in like forever and that I used to hang out with alot, he gave me a mean fright, his name is Blade Justice but B.J for short, he is the most funniest ever man.
As soon as I said hello to him I had to race him to one of the computers either the laptop or the computer, he had already been sitting on the laptop on his special website thing. I had to have the computer but I didn't care because they both have the internet.
Not long after he showed up his sister Filma showed up for Paris. Her and Paris have to practice thier dance for the SPRING IT ON that my mums holding, they have been practicing forever.
Filma was playing with our dogs HURUZ(my dog) and PIXIE(parents dog) they are very friendly.

The following day was even better as soon as we woke up we had breakfast and started to take some photos, they are very cool especially Filma's and B.J's photos, I guess my photos were alright.
After that B.J and I raced to the computers again and again he beat me to the laptop, so since he was on the laptop I asked him to upload the photos to it so that I could edit them on picnik later. I made him and Filma dedications.
Mum and that went to this dance thing in Te Kuiti to watch some people dance and to talk to this Kauri and Louis fella and apparently the Louis has flawless skin and Filma said that it shined when he was in the sun.
That day went by very fast we all got bored so Filma decided to make a video of us all it was funny man. I jumped a Filma to get the phone off her so that she couldn't get me in it but it was to late I had been caught jumping at her. Filma and the rest fell asleep so I was left awake with B.J and we didn't go to sleep until 7:00 well thats when B.J went to sleep I did't go to sleep till 9:30 this morning. I had only had like an hour sleep and stayed up ever since then.

I can't wait till next week becausethey will be coming over again.
:D

College talk!

Yesterday we had this talk with Mr Drummen and he was here to talk to us about college.
He brought one of the ex pupil Aro who was from this school to help him with the laptop because rather than talking we watched a video about the college, that movie thing was supposed to take 2 minute tops but it went for ages  instead.
Aro was there to answer any of the questions we had to ask about college.
Mr Drummen told us he was the grumpy teacher and that we could ask anyone and they would even tell us that he was a grumpy teacher.
After that we had come back to class do our speech intro then went to Libby our project energize lady that helps us with our exercise.
It was cool and funny yesterday.

weird things happen here,.

I was in my room normally where all the scary stuff happens.
Anyway I was in my room reading crime files and listening to music when I started hearing stuff, I looked out my window to see if the sound was coming from out there because T.B.H (to be honest) I thought it was my next door neighbours making a mess with my brother and sisters, I looked out the window and nothing was there.
I started thinking for a bit that I was hearing things but this time I could here stuff moving around under my bed, I was to scared to look under my bed just in case whatever was in there would pull me under and I would be trapped there forever, I took the risk and looked under my bed and saw something and I started screaming then it jumped at me.....
It was my brother and kowhai under my bed looking for a sandman toy.
I ended up kicking them out because I hate playing with little action figure toys or dolls or whatever.
I was so scared mann.

Manual!!!

This morning we went to manual with Bonni as our bus driver, she took for ever to leave because she thought  we had to wait for a teacher to count us on to the bus, so we ended up being late to manual.
We got there and our teacher was going all mana(angry) at us hard.
We still have to finnish our boxes from last term. They have taken us for ever.
I wish I was a junior kid in Room 1.....
